ELT Footprint UK aims to promote and facilitate environmental responsibility in UK English Language Teaching. We would like UK English Language Teaching to be carbon neutral and preferably carbon positive by 2025.

This web site arose out of the UK ELT & The Environment working party, set up in 2019 and consisting of various members of English UK, an association that supports and represents UK English Language Teaching organisations.

Our first report was published in July 2019. It provides a complete discussion of the issues together with practical suggestions for reducing the carbon footprint of your ELT operation. ELTfootprint.uk extends, updates and complements the report.
